Jonathan Goodman
Staff Scientist
Engagement and Society
“In my work I aim to find connecting points among the evolutionary, social, and health sciences, and to use these different ways of thinking to try to solve major challenges in society, such as the erosion of trust. I don’t believe any area of study can do this on its own – and the interdisciplinarity inherent to our work at Connecting Science makes this kind of thinking possible.”
Jonathan is a social scientist with a background in the human evolutionary sciences, ethics, and anthropology, and uses a variety of research methods in his work on the erosion of trust and in public health. He is also a science writer, with his first book, ‘Invisible Rivals: how we evolved to compete in a cooperate world’, forthcoming with Yale University Press in June 2025.
